The Friends of the Vale & Downland Museum & Visitor Centre is an independent group with charitable status which supports all aspects of the museum’s work. The award-winning museum captures the spirit of the town of Wantage, the villages of the clay Vale to the north, and the rolling chalk Downland to the south.
The Friends raise money for the museum by holding events throughout the year. Activities include:

- Talks
- 100 Club monthly cash prize draw
